Lockhart is the grandchild and daughter of actors Gene Lockhart, as well as the actress June Lockhart. Lockhart began her acting career very early. The role she would take was on the show Battlestar Galactica, which aired in 1978. She rejected the role initially because the character was not that robust. Glen developed a different character to play Sheba, which was much stronger. She embraced the Living Legend's script after she read its first pages. The show ran for one season. She also starred with Desi Arnaz Jr. Melanie Griffith Robert Carradine, Desi Arnaz (son Desi Arnaz & Lucille ball) in Joyride in 1977. And she costarred alongside Michael Moriarty as The Dark Tower in 1987.
