Sharon Yvonne Stone (born March 10 in 1959) was born in Meadville Pennsylvania to Dorothy Lawson an accountant and Joseph William Stone Jr. A tool and die maker who previously been employed as a worker in a manufacturing company. Michael, Kelly and Patrick are three of her siblings. Stone was regarded as an academically gifted in her early years and entered the second grade when she was five. Saegertown School in Saegertown Pennsylvania was her high school. Her graduation was in 1975. She also competed winning at the Miss Pennsylvania beauty contest. Stone and her aunt relocated out of New Jersey to New Jersey to begin a modeling career in 1977. They signed up for the Ford Modeling Agency after a short period of time. She soon relocated to Europe, spending a year living in Milan as well as Paris. However, Stone became disillusioned with the world of modeling and modeling in Europe and decided to go into acting while living there. She was 20 when she appeared in the Woody Allen film "Stardust Memories" that received mixed praises.
